Educational resources, videos, fact sheets & presentations for support

WP3 in SwePass is dedicated to equipping Swedish businesses with the knowledge and tools they need to navigate the rapidly evolving regulatory and technological landscape, particularly in relation to traceability, Digital Product Passports (DPPs), and circular economy practices. By focusing on education and knowledge dissemination, this work package aims to support businesses in their transition to digitalized and sustainable operations.

The work in WP3 emphasizes both the technical and practical aspects of compliance and innovation, ensuring that businesses—regardless of size—are prepared for upcoming regulatory demands such as the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR). By building on the foundation of previous projects like Trace4Value and Trust4Value, WP3 leverages existing insights and networks to deliver targeted, accessible, and impactful educational resources.

Key objectives and activities of WP3 include:

  1. Mapping and monitoring:
    • Continuous mapping of regulations, standards, and policies related to DPPs and traceability, ensuring that businesses have access to up-to-date and reliable information.
    • Monitoring of both national and international developments to provide a comprehensive overview of the regulatory landscape.
  2. Educational material development:
    • Creation of tailored educational content, including short videos, factsheets, open presentations, and online modules, to address the diverse needs of Swedish businesses.
    • Focusing on practical guidance for implementing traceability systems and adapting to digitalization demands.
  3. Capacity building for digital transformation:
    • Development of resources to help companies understand the system requirements for enabling seamless information flows and traceability.
    • Guidance on how to modify internal and external processes to align with digitalization efforts, including the integration of DPPs and data sharing infrastructures.
  4. Industry collaboration:
    • Close collaboration with industry stakeholders to identify knowledge gaps and tailor educational initiatives to specific challenges and opportunities.
    • Engagement with strategic innovation programs like PiiA to support participation in standardization committees and enhance alignment with industry priorities.
  5. Knowledge sharing across sectors:
    • Facilitating cross-sectoral knowledge exchange to promote best practices in traceability and sustainability.
    • Encouraging mutual learning and innovation by connecting businesses, policymakers, and researchers.

By bridging the gap between technical complexity and practical application, WP3 ensures that businesses are not only informed but also empowered to take proactive steps toward compliance and innovation. The work package supports long-term resilience and competitiveness by fostering a culture of learning and adaptation within Swedish industry.

In alignment with the SwePass initiative’s broader goals, WP3 contributes to building a robust foundation for knowledge sharing and capacity building. This ensures that Swedish businesses remain agile and well-prepared to navigate the challenges and opportunities of a digitalized, sustainable future.
