Digital Product Passport for Iron & steel – Content proposal and examples from early movers
The webinar provides an overview of what the Digital Product Passport (DPP) means for the iron and steel industry as EU requirements become clearer. It will introduce the regulatory framework, present key findings from a sector-specific readiness study, and outline the business implications and opportunities linked to early adoption. Participants will also gain insights from companies already working with DPP in practice, along with the opportunity to engage directly with experts and industry representatives through a live Q&A.
How can Digital Product Passports create added value?
Welcome to the SwePass WP5 webinar “How Can Digital Product Passports (DPP) Create Added Value?”, in collaboration with RISE. In this webinar, RISE will provide an overview of how we work with DPP in practice—from strategic support and interpretation of regulations to technical solutions that create real added value. With a special focus on the Printed Electronics Arena in Norrköping, we’ll show how we develop and test prototypes for traceability, unique product identifiers, and data carriers. We’ll also share concrete examples from projects where DPP creates various types of value—far beyond legal requirements.

Upcoming Standards for Digital Product Passports
Imagine being able to scan a product with your smartphone and instantly access information about its environmental impact, how to repair it, or who was involved in its production. This vision is becoming a reality through the development of digital product passports. Several proposed standards are now being prepared for public consultation during summer 2025. Join in for a free webinar on what’s coming and how you can get involved.
